TACOMA RECYCLING BIN PROJECT
March 2021
Paige Pettibon – Paige Pettibon’s (Salish, Black) 3 custom recycling container designs (glass, metal, and cardboard) feel like home to us. Paige says: “My roots are 3 generations deep in Tacoma, a place where water has a profound role in developing the landscape and the people. I wanted to create something beautiful and familiar for those who have a love for our city and culture.”
Paige is part of this project by Tacoma Environmental Services to wrap the new glass recycling stations with custom artwork by Tacoma artists: Stan Shaw, Mark Monlux, Jasmine Brown, and Chandler O'Leary. The containers are located at Central Co-op, Stewart Heights, Center at Norpoint, Hilltop Safeway
