FOUR SACRED DIRECTIONS WIND DIAL
The structure is a 4' x 4' black cube frame with square wooden signs. The dial is placed with the yellow wind spirit facing the eastern path, the red wind spirit facing the southern path, the white wind spirit facing the northern path, and the black wind spirit facing the western path. The wind spirits move from the corresponding direction. Using Coast Salish masks to swear off bad medicine, the circle-shaped mouth indicates good medicine to be blown into the viewers/worlds direction. The circular glowing rings are the ripples of good medicine coming out. This wind dial is intended to have the viewer meditate with the medicine provided coming from each of the four sacred directions. The cube is ego—nothing, everything, remembering we are all connected.
